GET TO KNOW OUR OFFICERS
🏍️ Get to Know Our Membership Officer – Louis Murray! 🏍️
Meet Louis Murray, our Membership Officer, the man who keeps our Chapter family growing, smiling and committed!
📌Louis’ biking story started way back with a little 180 Honda and like many of us his Harley journey began in 2004 with a 883 Sporty (because who didn’t start there? 😄). From there he moved up to a Deluxe and then an Ultra Glide Ultra Classic. These days, he’s back on a beautiful 2016 Softail Deluxe. Usually joined by his trusty mascot , a Bull Terrier puppy soft toy named Spuds McKenzie, bought all the way back in Atlanta in 1987! 🐾
He always rides with his trusty riding bell 🔔and listens to Bethel Music or a country tune while riding🎼🎶
And if he could ride anywhere in the world …..it’d be the USA, no question. 🇺🇸
His proudest moment? The day he got his first Harley.
His most embarrassing? Reversing his brand-new Softail Deluxe into his BMW before its first ride. A “tail-light tragedy” that still gets mentioned to this day! 🤦♂️
Louis has clocked some serious miles, including a 2,000 km trip to Cape Town. He had a couch then, so seating was a breeze!
And when he’s not riding, he’s cheering on TV sports .⚽️🏀🥎🏉🏸
His friends would describe him as “full of nonsense, straight and honest” and we wouldn’t have it any other way!😀
If the Chapter ever had a mascot, Louis reckons it should be a soft toy in a rain suit . Something that perfectly reflects the fun, friendship and resilience that makes this Chapter what it is. 🧸
For Louis, being part of H.O.G. Jacaranda Chapter means everything. He loves the closeness, friendliness and good clean fun that makes our Chapter special. In his words: “we’re the only HOG chapter in South Africa worth joining. With well-planned rides, camaraderie and respect for all.” 💜🏍️
